A kayak is a closed boat with a covered deck and is propelled by a double-bladed paddle. A stand-up paddleboard is a board that is propelled by a single-bladed paddle while standing upright.
We rent sit-on-top kayaks. This type of kayak is great for lakes and is very stable and easy to get in and out of. Sit-on-top kayaks have scupper holes which allow for water to flow in and flow out. This kayak design is harder to swamp during windy or wavy conditions.
